Munro Junior Teams Win Easily

Malvern, St. Elizabeth- Galloway Cup champions Munro College had a signature win on Wednesday when they defeated Manning's High by a 3-0 margin.

Manning's and York Castle where on top of the group with seven points each. York Castle now lead Munro by a point when they became sole leaders in a big 5-1 thrashing of Green Island and look sure to advance to the semi-finals.

Munro signalled their intentions early when Stefano Hynes was fouled in the area. Hynes scored the penalty to put Munro ahead. Dacosta Cup player Antonio Gregg made it 2-0 when he collected a pass on the left, calmly firing the ball to the far post. Stefano Hynes would seal the issue killing off the game, finishing one time from a left sided cross.

Munro's U14 team was very impressive, smashing Godfrey Stewart 7-0. Scorers were Nicholas Collin (Hat-trick), Ricardo Pinnock, Captain Timar Lewis, Lasando Stewart, and Nicholas Aquart.

Both Munro teams will travel to Green Island today to engage that school as the competition continues.
