Munro Garner draws at Jonathan Hibbert Memorial Cup

Malvern, St. Elizabeth- Munro College came away with two 1-1 draws against Portland All Stars, and 2008 Dacosta Cup semi-finalists Lacovia High.

Ace striker Jermaine Samms displayed a mild return to form with a goal against Portland.

In the other game, Munro controlled play for the most part against Lacovia and were rewarded in the first half, when Safial Mason broke away down the right crossing to Allen Bell who made no mistake.

With the game 1-0 in Munro's favour Mason got into the box and was fouled by Lacovia central defender Oral Gray, but no penalty was given. With time ticking away Lacovia equalised from a goal mouth melee.

A number of Munro's players where selected for a second trial to take place at STETHS at 1:00PM. They are Jermaine Samms, Akeem Bowes, Odane Reid, Allen Bell, Kriswayne Wallace, Dayton Stuart, and Safial Mason.
