Munro delayed, STETHS Lead Zone

Malvern, St. Elizabeth- Many time champions Munro College had their probable return to winning ways derailed for the time being when their game against Lacovia was halted at the quarter hour mark due to inclement weather.

The game had barely started when Lacovia drew first blood from a free-kick which rebounded off the Munro wall and into the goal. Munro responded shortly after, when Montego Bay United player Shaunuvan Desouza who is returning from injury equalized for the former champions.

In other games, Ben Francis Champions STETHS recorded the biggest win of the day when they mauled Newell 17-0 to lead the group on nine (9) points. Decartereth College moved into second spot when they upset Black River 2-0.

The competition resumes in Zone F on Tuesday when STETHS take on Black River away, Newell opposes Balaclava, and Decartereth face Lacovia.
