Malvern, St. Elizabeth- The Munro College U14 team hammered Newell by a 6-1margin to keep their unbeaten record in tact. Cayman Islands native David James shone like a beacon when he fired home two goals from long range. Speedster Rajay Ottey, urbanite Matthew Kerr Clarke, Timar Lewis, and Romario Desouza, the brother of Shaunuvan Desouza, all added a goal a piece to take Munro's tally to six.
In the feature game, the defending Champions had to work hard to clip Newell 2-1. Levar Dunchie opened the scoring for Munro when he ran down the right and fired into the goal. Dunchie would play his part in the second goal, when he kicked a precision corner that found the boots of central defender Derron Duncan who cracked a powerful volley into the net.
Mean while, the Munro Dacosta Cup team warmed up for their interzone round campaign when they drew 0-0 with Bethlehem Teachers College this afternoon.
