Malvern, St. Elizabeth- Munro College advanced to the Galloway Cup final after Manchester High lost 2-1 to Green Island yesterday.
Munro had raced to the top of the zone on 9 points from 3 games with the game to be played against Manchester on Monday.
In their opening quarterfinal game Munro spanked Aubuthknott Gallimore 5-1, with goals from Shaunuvan Desouza, Kaneil Harrison, Levar Dunchie and Amin Miller (Twice).
At Cornwall College, Munro had to fight hard to get past a teak tough Cornwall defense. Chadwick Morrison ran down the left to guide a pass to the prolific Amin Miller who fired powerfully into the Cornwall goal.
Munro maximized their home advantage against Green Island with Amin Miller grabbing a hat-trick, along with Shaunuvan Desouza, Levar Dunchie, and Kevon Farqueson scoring to hammer Green Island 6-0.
Munro's opponent for the final will be Maud McCloud High. There is contemplation to make this Final the curtain raiser for the Dacosta Cup semi-final on Saturday November 28, 2009. Stand by for more words on that.
