Munro College and Lacovia High battled to a 0-0 stalemate in their top of the table encounter at the Munro College grounds.
The game was marred by poor finishing by the Munro team. Munro picked up the pace in the second half in search of the elusive winner. Midfield general Shafial Mason made a huge difference in the Munro attack when he was brought on in the second half.
Munro came closest o scoring when Mason controlled the ball from a corner kick and fired a scorcher that was parred by the Lacovia goalkeeper.
Things turned ugly when Munro midfielder Dayton Stuart slid the ball over the touchline from Lacovia's Deniko Smith who collided with him. Smith was down for several minutes, resulting in a miniature riot. Referee Kedley Powell sent Stuart off for the tackle relegating Munro to 10 men.
Munro continued to pressure Lacovia, but failed to score.
Mean while, Deshorn Brown scored six times to carry STETHS to a 9-0 hiding of BB Coke High. In other games Maggotty outlasted Black River High 2-1.
Munro will next play Maggotty High away on Monday.
